Volunteers Needed
We are getting prepped and ready to start processing the artifacts recovered during the Stage 2 excavations at Van Egmond House. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us. If you are looking to gain some hands on experience with artifacts this is a great opportunity!
We have set up a washing station within the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. We plan on processing the artifacts every Wednesday evening, from 5:00-7:00 pm, beginning on November 27, 2024. We will be continuing with this time slot every week for the remainder of 2024 (2 week break over the holidays), and continuing during the winter 2025. If you are interested in seeing what was recovered during the dig, we encourage you to volunteer. Please feel free to share with anyone you think may be interested in participating.
