The next chapter meeting is this upcoming Thursday January 9th, 2019 at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology.
The presenter will be Dana Poulton. His presentation is entitled “The Bead Hill Site: A Late Seventeenth Century Village on the Rouge River, Ontario.”
Results of limited test excavations and historic research indicate that the site was occupied from ca. A.D. 1669 to 1687. It is inferred to be the historically documented Seneca village of Ganatsekwyagon. Come out an hear about this very significant Post-Contact site.
Doors open at 7pm.
Also, Chris Ellis needs speakers for Member’s Night on February 13th so if you have a brief 10-15 minute presentation you could do, contact him at cjellis@uwo.ca.
Note also that the next Kewa (18-4-5) Newsletter is at the printer and will be mailed electronically as a pdf, or in paper format if you so desire, within the next few days!
